Vintage 1950’s Tony the Tiger enameled silver tone tie clip. This rare and unique item features an early design for Tony the Tiger with a checkered kerchief/bandanna and football shaped head as seen in the early Frosted Flakes adverts. The front has a polished silver tone and enamel face and a matte finish on the back side. It is marked Leavens Mfg. Attleboro Mass. This item measures approximately 2” long x 1-1/4” tall.
There are some scratches and scuffs seen on the front. The orange and blue enamel are starting to darken along the edges in some areas. The back has some wear to the finish from the clasp rubbing. See photos for more details.
