Beautiful, hand carved, dark wooden, Duck Decoy / Figurine, with glass eyes. Female, Hooded Merganser with a fan like, crest on the head, is hand carved and nicely painted and stained brown. Eyes are yellow glass.
There is no marking that I could see.
It measures 11-1/2" long from the tip of beak to tip of tail, 4-1/4" wide, and 5" tall to the top of its head.
Duck is in good condition overall. There are a few scratches noted on the back and there is a small chip on the bottom of the beak, please see pictures for more detail. Minor wear and imperfections as expected with any handmade item.
Nice addition to any collector of vintage decoys or birds! Also would be perfect for your cabin in the woods!
