It helps mitigate annoying wind noise in a manner superior to foam windscreens. Thanks to the long-haired exterior and nylon interior, the windscreen offers two layers of sonic protection against wind, diffusing and reducing wind-borne sounds by up to 40 dB.
Measuring 3.9" long and 2.8" in diameter, this windscreen is tailor-made for the Saramonic CamMic camera-mount shotgun microphone. It will slip right over that shotgun mic's supplied foam windscreen.
