The next stage of Ryozo Band, which has been attracting attention from various fields such as the release live of the last album and the recently held pairing event that was packed to capacity, is the up-tempo current Jazz from Japan ! Ryozo Band has been slowly gaining attention in Japan and abroad since 2019. In 2023, they released the EP Utopia, and were selected as the best of the year by '180gram', a distributor of Japanese jazz and other music overseas, at hhv, a long-established European record store. They have held record release shows all over the country, and in Tokyo, their release show at Tsukimiru Kimi Omofu in Aoyama was a huge success with a full house, and they have been steadily increasing their listeners. The first release of Ryozo Band in 2024 is the up-tempo JAZZ/FUNK song 'Pleasure, ' which will be released on 7' and streaming!The Ryozo Band's golden members are Tetsuta Otachi on guitar, who is active with ODODOAFROBEAT, and Yusei Takahashi on keyboards, who is active with Terumasa Hino and the STUTS Band, The accompaniment is provided by Yusei Takahashi, who is very active with Terumasa Hino and the STUTS band, Masaki Nagata on drums and Takehide Hashimoto on saxophone, both members of Zainichi Funk, On trumpet is Kyotaro Hori, who is also active in TAMTAM and ACO, Ryotaro Miyasaka plays percussion in a genre-less style, The band consists of Ryozo Obayashi, the band leader and bassist of SANABAGUN.'Pleasure' starts with an impressive minimalist keyboard, and is composed mainly of an up-tempo beat and two horns, a saxophone and a trumpet.
