Beautiful, RARE 1950s MCI Japan hand painted tea set. Features a tea kettle and four matching tea/sake cups. The tea kettle comes with a lid that has a unique, 3D flower handle on top, and has a built in filter on the inside bottom of the spout. The painted moriage style flowers are outlined in an enameled paint that gives them a textured or raised feel.
**The original handle is missing, but the holes for where one should go are perfectly intact. A new handle could easily be created with an endless possibility of materials.**
**There is one cup that has some chips around the rim. All others are in excellent condition.**
Condition: Excellent Pre-Owned Condition-With minor signs of wear. The tea kettle and 3/4 cups are free from any chips, while one of the cups has a couple chipped areas. Please see pictures for details and measurements.
