Quickly and easily find documents, photos, videos, and music with Qsirch, QNAP's search application lets you find what you need in real-time. Simply type in as much as you know about what you are trying to find, including bits of the file name or even words/phrases in the document, and Qsirch will display a list of matches, complete with thumbnails, as you type. Qsirch even remembers your search history so you can quickly navigate to files you've previously searched for.

The TS-EC880U R2 supports 6 Gb/s hard drives driving over 3,700 MB/s throughput and 400,000 IOPS. Featuring a 3.5 GHz Intel Core i3-4150 dual-core processor and 8GB of DDR3 RAM, this enclosure enhances the efficiency of CPU-consuming tasks and serves more concurrent tasks at the same time.

The TS-EC880U R2 supports two on-board mSATA internal cache ports and up to 4 SSDs for caching. By installing optional mSATA flash modules, the IOPS performance of storage volumes can increase. It is well suited for improving the overall workflow of random IOPS demanding applications such as those for database and virtualization. The internal cache port design reserves the space of hard drive tray for more storage capacity.

With the TS-EC880U R2's removable motherboard drawer, IT administrators have easier access in upgrading and installing components such as RAM and internal cache. The motherboard itself can be removed and replaced without needing to remove the heavy TS-EC880U R2 from the rack cabinet, making it especially useful in maintaining the TS-EC880U R2 in data centers with multiple rack cabinets. However, please note that power-off is necessary before removing the motherboard drawer. It is not hot-pluggable.

RTRR (Real-Time Remote Replication) supports real time or scheduled data backup to a remote Turbo NAS or FTP server and synchronizes files to a remote folder from a local folder with better backup efficiency and reduced backup time. It also supports rsync protocol to back up data to another remote server on scheduling basis. Besides, data can be backed up to cloud storage, such as Amazon S3, Amazon Glacier, Microsoft Azure, ElephantDrive, Symform, Dropbox, and Google Drive, and restored to the TS-EC880U R2 anytime.
