| Made in the USA The Larson Electronics HDFL-BP-TB-A Portable LED Warning Light provides visual warning when mainstream power is unavailable. This battery-powered, LED strobe lamp is 100% portable and provides a highly effective alternative to beacons that require wiring and permanent mounting. This particular unit has an amber lens and a terminal strip (instead of a rocker switch) for compatibility with remote switches tied to customer-provided sensors. The HDFL-BP-TB-A is a powerful and compact strobing solution for outdoor applications. The battery-powered lamp produces a brilliant signal that is visible over 1 mile away. This beacon is amber in color and is 100% portable, with a weighted base. To cater to remote switches tied to customer-provided sensors, the rocker switch has been replaced with a terminal strip. This LED warning light is constructed of polyethylene with a polycarbonate lens. For operation in outdoor environments, the unit is waterproof and shock resistant. This strobe lamp flashes 65 times per minute, with power being supplied by two standard 6V DC, spring terminal lantern batteries (not included). The durability, portability and high power of this LED beacon makes it ideal for towing, trailers, security, work areas, roadside emergencies, warehouses, and anywhere a fast and simple beacon solution with plenty of power is needed. LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life. LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps.
