Vintage POLO by Ralph Lauren Wool Handknit Sweater
This rare and vintage sweater is a classic. Chunky knit with a design that is a bit aztec, a bit Irish and has a fairisle feel to it. The colors that make up the design are a dark maroon, heathered gray and navy. A rich buttery cream, this is denim friendly and you would probably want it to be layered over a tee or button up.
I am not sure of the exact year but believe it to be late 80's.
I am not the original owner. As a Buyer for a major department store this came to me from a colleague. It is in excellent vintage condition, no holes, rips or stains nor are there any storage odors. A really gorgeous sweater that seems right out of a winter scene from one of Ralph Lauren's lifestyle ads.
