Omara Portioned, the immensely gifted vocal star of Buena Vista Social Club fame, began her career in the nightclubs of early 1950's Havana - first as a dancer and then as a member of a female vocal quartet. This extremely rare session, recorded in Cuba on 1958, is among the first recordings to feature Omara Portioned as a soloist and has never been officially released on CD in it's original form - UNTIL NOW! This is definitely an important slice of Cuban music history, sung by one of it's greatest exports.
