Recommended for cold water systems and hot water systems up to 200°F (93°C), the included Oatey® CPVC Medium Bodied Fast Set Orange Cement has excellent gap-filling properties. Also included is Oatey® Purple Primer, an NSF-listed, aggressive primer that removes surface dirt, grease and grime; softens the pipe surface to allow for a fast, secure solvent weld; and has a purple tint for visible verification that a primer has been used, which is ideal for areas where plumbing code require this proof. Oatey products have earned the trust of plumbing professionals for over 100 years.
