Power Zoom for Professional Videographers

iming to deliver superior optical performance for video production, the NIKKOR Z 28-135mm f/4 PZ Lens from Nikon is an ideal pick for documentaries and in-the-field productions with solo filmmakers or small crews. This marks the company's first power zoom made for their FX-format sensors and is designed to be paired with their flagship Z9 mirrorless camera. Crafted for professionals, this all-in-one lens provides a broad focal range for framing versatility. It features an internal zoom mechanism that allows comfortable zooming without shifts in the center of gravity and a short minimum focusing distance of 13.4" when working up-close to your subjects. With Nikon's best anti-reflection coating, Meso Amorphous Coat, ghosting and flare are significantly reduced in the lens's images. The NIKKOR Z 28-135mm f/4 PZ uses a stepping motor (STM) for speedy and quiet autofocus adjustment with suppressed focus breathing.

Optimized Zoom Performance

Eleven zoom speeds are available for selection and can be assigned to the zoom lever or one of the paired camera's Fn buttons.

Zoom can be controlled remotely with a computer, smartphone, or tablet by using the NX Tether software as well as the SnapBridge or NX Field apps.

When used with the Nikon Z9, Hi-Res Zoom can be used, allowing an angle of view equivalent to that of the 270mm focal length with 4K video recording.

Extensive Image Quality Control

An included rectangular lens hood helps reduce unwanted light entering the lens and causing flare. A filter adjustment window allows for convenient exchanges between circular polarizing and variable ND filters without needing to remove the hood.

A fluorine coating is applied to the front lens element so that dust, oil, and water are effectively repelled, contributing to its dust- and drip-resistant design.

The incorporation of Nikon's Meso Amorphous Coat suppresses ghosting and flare caused by incident light from any direction. This coating is the brand's highest-performing anti-reflection system.
