“Nicholas Goade, Detective” by E. Phillips Oppenheim. Published by Hodder and Stoughton, London: no date (1927, First Edition & First UK Edition). Beautifully custom bound in full leather by the important London bookbinders Sangorski & Sutcliffe. Gilt dentelles along the leather turn-ins on the backsides of the cover boards. Binder name in gilt along the bottom turn-in on the backside of the front cover. Single gilt rules along the perimeter of both cover boards, with the title in gilt along the front cover. Raised bands separate the spine into six sections, with the title and author information in gilt in sections two and three from the top. Gilt-tooled border details adorn the remaining sections.
