This an original vintage movie one sheet for the 1946 Warner Brothers film noir crime drama “Three Strangers” starring Sydney Greenstreet, Geraldine Fitzgerald & Peter Lorre. The screenplay was written by John Huston & Howard Koch.
This 1946 film poster one sheet (27” x 41”) for the film noir thriller “Three Strangers” is in fine to very fine condition. Prior to linenbacking & restoration, the poster had pinholes, light wear along edges & foldlines, minute paper loss at cross-folds, scuffs, smudges & unobtrusive stains. A professional restorer linenbacked poster & addressed some of defects such as missing paper & color in Fitzgerald’s dress & near letter “G” in title. Overall, the poster presents pretty well. One top critic said the film is a full-bodied melodrama of a shrewd & sophisticated sort. Never so far away from reason that it is wholly incredible but obviously manufactured fiction, it makes a tantalizing show, reaching points of fascination a few times.
