Maybe it was something in the air; maybe it was all a dream... This is brothers Donnie & Joe Emerson, back in the studio together after thirty years. Their 1979 debut album, Dreamin' Wild, showcased two rock 'n' roll farm kids who truly tilled their own musical soil, channeling bedroom pop jams, raw funk, and yacht rock. It took decades for Dreamin' Wild to garner the belated accolades it deserved, but once it did, one thing was clear: Donnie & Joe were here to stay. Recorded all analog and live at Dunham Studios in Brooklyn, these tracks were unplanned, unrehearsed, and captured as instantaneously as they were created in the midst of one muggy, New York pre-dawn in June 2013.
