Cetridine Concentrate is a general antiseptic and pre-operative skin disinfectant.
COMPOSITION: Cetrimide 150 g/L, Chlorhexidine gluconate 15g/L
Cetrimide is a quaternary ammonium disinfectant with properties and uses typical of cationic surfactants. It is bactericidal to Gram-positive organisms but relatively ineffective against some Gram-negative organisms and bacterial spores. It is used on skin where the detergent action helps cleaning. Chlorhexidine gluconate is a cationic disinfectant bactericidal against many Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria but not effective against spores.
Cetridine Concentrate is suitable for disinfection of most instruments and surfaces of equipment.
Cetridine Concentrate can be used as a general antiseptic in trauma, obstetrics, superficial infections, wounds, abscesses etc. in birds, cats, cattle, dogs, goats, equines, pigs, sheep and native animals.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Preoperative skin disinfection, instruments, examination tables, surfaces: Dilute 140mL in 1L clean water and make up to 4L with industrial methylated spirit. Swab area to be treated with this solution. Use prepared solutions within 12 months.
General antiseptic (wounds, minor infections, obstetrics & abscesses): Dilute 10mL in 1L clean water. Swab area to be treated with this solution. Use prepared solutions within 1 month.
