One vintage Antique XXIV 1924 Rookwood Art Pottery Sailing Ship Bookend Purplish Brown Glaze # 2695. Arts & Crafts XXIV 1924 Rookwood art pottery sailing ship bookend. Brownish semi matte glaze. Style #2695. Size is 5 1/2" tall x 5 1/4" long. Has some age wear, but no chips, cracks. This was originally sold as a second because of the x on the bottom (bubbly pitted uneven glaze on back). Bottom has scratch wear. It is faintly marked on the back with the William Purcell McDonald circle mark.
