Thomas Gainsborough painted the work "Mr and Mrs William Hallett (or The Morning Walk)" in the summer of 1785, when the subjects, William Hallett and Elizabeth Stephen were both aged 21, shortly before their wedding.
Photogravures prints like this one of Gainsborough's works were often produced in the late 1800s to early 1900s by publishers and printers specializing in high-quality art reproductions. Gilded antique wood and composition frame with intricate detailing and a protective glass covering.
