Antique Dutch I Huising Groningen Metal Teapot - Black Floral UNCOMMON

This listing is for an antique Dutch black metal teapot marked I Huising Groningen. The teapot is seemingly very uncommon, and I haven't been able to turn up much about it. The teapot was owned by William Lesterhouse Antiques of Mattawan, Michigan.

The teapot weighs just over 2 pounds and is about 4-1/2 inches tall.

The teapot is listed for its collectability as a cultural antique, as opposed to its utility as a teapot. The exterior decorative includes a black, red, silver, and gold paint, such of which has been worn away. The rattan wrapped handle is secure but there is wear to the black paint. The teapot appears significantly used and include some buildup in the spout. There appears to be a hairline crack in the inside bottom. The crack doesn't appear present from the exterior base, so it is likely a layered metal. The foot on the base may have been repaired in the past and there appears to be a nail head in the base. There is also a short crack in the foot.
