Enchanting Edwardian era (1900s-1910s) Gibson girl black beaded sequin silk and net evening dress! Square neckline with gelatin sequins and beadwork in a leaf petal design. I cannot get over the sequin ball detailing on the sorceress tulle sleeves! The waist is accented with a partially attached velvet belt that extends down the front, and has beaded sequin balls at the ends. Silk under skirt overlaid with silk net. Closes with hook/eyes and snaps on the bodice, and partially down the skirt. Great collector’s piece! Think about it… this gown was around when the Titanic sank!
