This set is specially designed to provide you with the essential colors to paint Soviet Summer multi-color camouflage schemes during WWII. 

The camouflage of Soviet armored vehicles underwent a significant evolution throughout World War II. In the early 1940s, several camouflage colors were developed: 4BO Green (used as base color, covering up to 50% of surfaces), Dark Brown 6K, and Black-Green 7K. Initially, vehicles like the KV and T-34 tanks were painted in 4BO Green only, as camouflage was considered of little importance for the Red Army's intended offensive role. 

Two-tone and three-tone camouflage patterns began to appear sporadically in 1941, mainly on armored trains, which were especially vulnerable to air attacks. By late 1941, new regulations introduced a standardized three-tone scheme consisting of 4BO Green (45–50%), Yellow 7K (15–30%), and Dark Brown 6K (15–30%). These multicolor summer camouflage patterns were usually reserved for specific environments, such as wooded areas or static defensive positions like the Leningrad area. Self-propelled artillery units adopted multicolor schemes more extensively, as their frequent use of ambush tactics required greater concealment. 

Starting in the summer of 1943, the use of camouflage declined as the Red Army shifted its focus to large-scale offensive operations.

They come in a new transparent 20 ml bottle with a convenient vertical dropper cap that can be opened and closed with one hand. This paint is non-toxic and odorless. It can be applied directly from the bottle or thinned with ATOM-20500/20510/20520 ATOM Thinner and Cleaner Thinner, or ATOM-20501/20511/20521 ATOM Thinner and Cleaner with Retarder.
