This adapter can be used to convert any 6-pin power supply Server AUX cable to a standard 4-Pin 12V ATX cable. This adapter only transfers the 12V source and not the 3.3V found on the Server AUX cable. This adapter is handy for many of the new server boards that require 4-pin, 8-pin and 24-pin to run. Since most PSU's only have an 8 or 4-pin this adapter can change the AUX cable (if your PSU has this) to 4-pin 12V. Can be used for boards like the Supermicro H8DCi and H8DC8 (opteron 940 boards). This adapter is NOT to be used with 6-pin PCI Express cables! Cable is about 6 inches long.Cable is fully covered in nylon Techflex sleeving and premium heatshrink, colors of your choice!
